Social Situation:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maureen lives with her family in the Kibera slum in Nairobi. She and her husband try to survive “as usual” with casual work what means no secure regular income.<\/p>\n

They live under very basic conditions without running water, and electricity, there is not even a toilet. They have to use a public toilet for a fee.<\/p>\n

Medical Problem:<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of a unsuccessful delivery supported by a Traditional Birth Attendant (TBA), while she lost her child, Maureen suffered from a heavy vaginal trauma. Since then, she suffers from severe lower abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding and painful intercourse, which affects her sexually and emotionally.<\/p>\n

TULISA plans to present her case to a gynecological specialist for an accurate diagnosis and determination of appropriate reconstructive surgery.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, she and her family cannot afford the amount of 3000, – \u20ac required for this purpose. Maureen depends on your help!<\/p>\n
