Fred is one out of four children of Beatrice, who is 30 years old and widowed. With odd jobs she tries hard to see her family through. This is getting even harder almost impossible due to outstanding costs for the medical treatment of Fred, although there is not much hope of recovery.<\/p>\n

Medical problem:<\/strong><\/p>\n

From his 5th month of life a progressive enlargement of the skull was observed. It is a hydrocephalus of unknown origin, a pathological enlargement of the cerebrospinal fluid containing space of the skull.
\nThe cause may of various nature, beside congenital factors also infections or benign and malign tumors are possible causes. Due to the increased cerebral compression brain Fred suffers from developmental disturbance. A prompt diagnostics and therapy, meaning a lowering of the cerebral compression by drainage of the cerebrospinal fluid with a so called shunt<\/a> to the abdominal cavity or to the right atrium of the heart can help him.<\/p>\n

Because of her son\u2018s illness Beatrice was forced to leave her relatives and family who believe her son\u2019s illness is caused by sinful behavior of the mother.
\nSupport Fred in order to avoid further lingering illness and increasing disability and finally death.<\/p>\n
